Sales Manager

Solar Works seeks an experienced and successful solar sales manager to lead and supervise our sales department.

Essential qualifications:
• Integrity and passion for renewable energy
• Ample experience in personnel management, consultative solar sales and customer service
• Demonstrated ability to manage effectively, close solar sales, provide excellent follow-up

• Meet individual and team sales targets: Generate, manage, and follow up on qualified leads
• Strong, up-to-date solar-related knowledge, skills and experience
• Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, Google applications. Mac OSX, CAD expertise desirable
• CRM/SalesForce expertise and experience preferred

• Communicate effectively and diplomatically in all public and staff interactions

• Participate in marketing and outreach projects, presentations
• Work with administrative, design and installation staff for smooth, timely work flow
• Prepare and submit weekly sales reports, summaries and documents, accurately and on time
• Comply with all business policies, procedures, work flow systems and legal requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of Sonoma County communities and cultures preferred

• Able to reach, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, use computer for several hours at a time

• Willing and able to fully comply with a work environment that is free of smoking, alcohol and other drugs

Solar Sales Consultant


Solar Works seeks a highly experienced, successful solar sales consultant.

Only candidates with the following qualifications will be considered: Proven expertise in consultative sales and customer service, excellent communication and collaboration skills, passion for renewable energy – and high integrity. Solar-related knowledge and solar industry certification are highly desirable. Candidates must be proficient in Salesforce, Clean Power Finance, Excel, Word, Google applications, and preferably, Mac OSX and CAD expertise. This position requires an ability to reach, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs, and use a computer for several hours at a time. Our policy is no smoking and no alcohol or other drugs in our workplace or on the job.
 
Responsibilities:

• Meet individual and team sales targets: Manage and follow up on qualified leads

• Conduct site visit tasks, e.g., draw roof diagrams, take measurements and photos, etc.

• Compile and present financing options and current incentives to potential clients

• Be an up-to-date solar expert regarding products, utility rates, incentives, trends

• Guarantee and provide excellent service and support to prospective and existing clients

• Provide post-installation PV system orientations

• Participate in marketing and outreach projects, presentations, events

• Communicate effectively and diplomatically in all public and staff interactions

• Work with administrative, design and installation staff for smooth, timely work flow

• Prepare and submit accurate weekly sales reports, summaries and documents, on time

• Comply with Solar Works policies, procedures, work systems and legal requirements

• Complete required certification trainings by end of 90-day introductory period

• Attend and actively participate in all relevant Solar Works meetings and trainings

• Perform assigned tasks willingly and on time, and work at least 40 hours
